History of Usui Reiki

 

   The founder of Reiki was a Japonese man named Mikao Usui, born in 1865.

    He developed a special interest in meditation, he practiced Zen Buddhism for years but also the meditation called in Japan  "Shugyo", which is to become  "one with the Universe". This is called in Taoism  "WUJI".

                 - it is said that he practiced the martial Arts -

    Following this state of union and Unity with the universe, he lived in Kurama-yama, Usui Sensei created an art of care for the improvement of the body and the spirit, a practice called "REÏKI ".

    In 1922, he created the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, Usui organization of the method of natural care by Reiki.

    Mikao Usui died suddenly in 1926.

    He was a man who devoted his whole life to practice and looking for a better being with the purpose of sharing.
